Benjamin Franklin Documentaries
Cause and Effect | Research | History | Team Work
My class was able to work on IPads to create a documentary of Benjamin Franklin. Their documentary included his life, one significant contribution he had on America, and how it effected the students. They worked very hard on this project focusing on finding the main idea and details to each paragraph. This student example was shown at the Theater in downtown to other teachers and students. They did an amazing job. Mythology Videos

The students produced three Greek Mythology Videos. They created the back drops, they acted in them, and they helped with the filming of them. These plays allowed them to work on fluency as they had to read and reread the readers theaters. They also learned how a green screen worked. How to VideosSequencing | Writing | Application | Fun
The students learned sequencing through writing a "How to" and then were able to convert it into a real life application with a "How to" video. We did these with the use of IMovie on the IPad. |

The students read Sarah Plain and Tall as a class and learned to connect to this classic. They learned through the feelings of the characters and they also were able to compare and contrast the plains and the coast. Then we made these adorable farm houses to go along with the book.
