Last week we had lots of fun learning about the three types of volcanoes: shield, cinder cone, and composite. We also learned about the stages of them: active, dormant, and extinct. We are also putting together our short documentaries on the Native Americans and took our chapter 1 math test on place value.
This coming week we have an exciting guest speaker coming on Wednesday. Her name is Emily Lamas and she is a Geologist from UVU. She will be talking with us about weathering and erosion. We will need at least 1 parent volunteer for this visit to help with a science experiment. The visit will be from 10am-12pm. Parents please email me if you are interested in volunteering.
For ixl.com Students will need to log on and do c.1,c.3, and d.2 and if you would like you can work ahead on anything in the c section or the d section.
